This was our first wedding at Roof With A View and the name says it all.  The couple did an outstanding job planning their big day at this venue which was once an automotive factory several decades ago.  Once the fifth floor was added several years back, Roof With A View instantly became one of Charlotte’s most unique event locations.  The venue is composed of a 5000 square foot heated and cooled space, surrounded by 1500 square feet of patio with unsurpassed views of uptown Charlotte and the Panther’s Stadium.

Dennis Mercurio of Split Second Sound entertained guests throughout the evening as Jay Weinmiller from Indigo Photography captured the event on film.

“Wedding Day” Assists Deserving Couples with Their Special Day

June 15th, 2009 – Every couple dreams of having the perfect wedding. For many, it’s the most important and emotional day of their lives. But for some, insurmountable obstacles create barriers to making their dream day a reality. ShutterBooth, a photo booth rental company based in Charlotte, will be showcased in a new television program which helps ensure that the most important day of a couple’s lives is also the most magical.

According to producers of the new program, “Wedding Day,” a bride doesn’t have to be rich to have a wedding fit for a princess. In this uplifting reality series, which debuts nationwide in June, deserving couples from all over the United States will get a helping hand to make their wedding day extra special.

“We are very excited to be part of the new program,” said Art Zelenak, who runs the ShutterBooth business in Charlotte. “We have witnessed first-hand the difference a ShutterBooth delivers in making the wedding more fun, unique and memorable. Now we can help deserving couples locally and throughout the country by providing a unique twist on a product that has been around for years.”

Each week, celebrity event planner and food expert, Alan Dunn (For Better or Worse), and celebrity wedding planner, Diann Valentine (author of Weddings Valentine Style), host as family, friends and community come together to create a dream wedding. Along the way, viewers will learn each couple’s compelling story, from their first date to the big day.

Wedding Day will debut on Tuesday, June 16, at 8 p.m. (EST) on TNT. In the inaugural episode, ShutterBooth helped Holli and Steve of Saginaw, Mich., with their wedding. The program will air every Tuesday night at 8 p.m. (EST) on TNT. Check your local listings for additional information.

Art Zelenak added that local couples are embracing the ShutterBooth concept and that the business has grown significantly since opening in the area in January.

“Our booths are elegantly-designed and produce high quality prints which act as the ideal wedding favor,” Zelenak mentioned. “We’ve seen 12 people jump in a booth at one time and the laughing and enjoyment is something that the guests are sure to remember. Once the drape on the booth closes, something very special happens.”

Charlotte, NC – “I haven’t seen anything like this in such a long time, and it’s different from anything else that’s out there right now.  I had a blast,” said Susan Ward at her son’s wedding. “One of the hardest things to capture is guests having a great time; the photo booth provided this for us. The booth was a tremendous hit and created excitement all night long. Even our grandparents lined up to pose behind the curtain. I would highly recommend renting a photo booth for any event,” said groom Adam Ward.

ShutterBooth Charlotte’s Week in Review

Charlotte’s premiere photo booth company continues to create a buzz at local events in the Queen City and this past week was no exception.  We had 3 events scheduled for the week, however a torrential downpour cancelled our Friday appearance at the annual Relay for Life of Matthews/Mint Hill.  Despite our rain out on Friday, it was another successful and busy week for ShutterBooth Charlotte.

On Tuesday we participated in our first ever Charlotte Chamber – South Park Chapter Picnic which was located at the Pavilion of Symphony Park.  Picnic at South Park is the South Park Chapter’s annual signature event, featuring great food from area restaurants, live entertainment, corporate sponsor offerings and great networking. 1,000 people attend the event annually.  I would like to thank everyone who dropped by to check out ShutterBooth.  A special thanks goes out to Cherise Walker of the Charlotte Chamber and her entire team for once again putting on an outstanding event.  Click here to view all photos from this event.

As mentioned earlier, ShutterBooth was unable to Capture the Fun at Friday’s Relay for Life event.  The photo booth was setup in time for the opening ceremonies and the arrival of Sir Purr (Carolina Panther’s Mascot), however the thunderstorms and lighting didn’t clear out soon enough for us to stick around.  We would like to thank Ashely Peeler, Relay for Life of Matthews/Mint Hill event coordinator, and Sandy Marano of the Matthews Chamber for extending the invite to us and hope we can try again next year.

Bridal Show at Levine Senior Center in Matthews, NC

Attention Carolina Brides!

Come join us on Friday, April 24th for the 1st Annual Bridal Show at the Levine Senior Center in Matthews, NC.  We’ll be there with our photo booth and look forward to meeting everyone while they get to experience the ShutterBooth firsthand!  This is a great opportunity to mingle with some of the area’s top wedding vendors.  A highlight of the event includes a fashion show featuring a new bridal collection by Bryan K. Osborn of Chicago (designer for Patti LaBelle, Diana Ross and Miss America).  Brides are encouraged to bring their groom, family, friends, and wedding party.  Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door.

ShutterBooth Charlotte Travels to Atlanta, GA

On Thursday, April 2nd, we traveled to Atlanta for The Knot Wedding Network Event.  The event took place at the W Hotel Buckhead and included the top wedding planners and vendors from Georgia.  Since Charlotte is currently the closest ShutterBooth market near Atlanta, we gratiously accepted the invitiation and were very proud to showcase our photo booth.

ShutterBooth was such a hit that we continued taking pictures almost an hour after the event ended.  I would like to give a shout out to the ladies of Che’ne Rouge who had an absolute blast in the photo booth.  And of course, a special thanks to Ashley Baber (Ashley Baber Weddings) and Leslie Karrer of The Knot for putting on an outstanding event.

On Wednesday, March 11th, the Charlotte Chamber and the Greater Charlotte Hospitality & Tourism Alliance (HTA) joined together to co-sponsor this annual tradeshow, hosted by the Charlotte Chamber East Chapter. This event is recognized as the best business to business showcase in the Charlotte, providing businesses of all sizes to exhibit their services and products to more than 1000 business decision makers in the region.
